Pet Manners
Tues Jan 10 - 8:00 pm

This class is for dogs and puppies over 6 months old who could use a little "charm school". We'll work on the obedience basics: sit, down, stay, walk on leash, Come when called and the common "behavior issues" we all seem to face: jumping on people, barking inappropriately, and play biting. We'll have a "behavior brainstorming" session at the end of each class for you to bring up any problems your dog is having that hasn't been covered in class. This class runs for 6 weeks at a cost of $165 (includes gst).

Prerequisite: none

Find 'n Fetch
TBD

Find 'n Fetch is all about retrieving... and retrieving the right thing! You'll need some "stuff" for this class: a dumbbell that fits your dog, scent articles (or any 12-15 items that are hard - not cloth and they need to look the same) and loads of toys and treats. Scent discrimination is a requirment for both the Utility level of Obedience and for Scent Hurdle Racing. It also helps with your tracking dog!

This class runs for 6 weeks at a cost of $165 (includes gst).

CKC Obedience Drop-In
Thurs at 8:00 - start any time!

Our CKC Obedience class is a modified drop-in class, you can start at any time. You pay for 8 classes, and have 4 months to use up the classes you paid for. This gives us different dogs in class each week, and if you have to be away - you don't miss anything! Cost is $210 including gst.

We take a slightly different approach to competitive obedience at All Bright Dogs.  We want it to be fun for both the dog and the handler.  We teach skills using games, positive reinforcement and great attitudes - building great attitudes in our working dogs!  Our CKC Obedience class will teach you what you need to know to be successful in the  ring, and help your dog to learn confidence and poise along the way.

We work all the levels in one group - your dog can advance at his/her own pace and work without getting bored!

This class is for dog/handler teams who have taken either our Formal Obedience Foundations or Novice Polishing class.

Canine Good Neighbour Prep Class
TBD

The Canine Good Neighbour Program is run by the Canadian Kennel Club - you can get a "Title" on any dog (doesn't have to be CKC registered), to show that your dog has the training and skills to be a good neighbour in our human world.

At All Bright Dogs, most of our clients come from referrals - our happy students tell their friends about us, then they tell their friends and so on. We want to give you a R+ (positive reinforcement) for telling your friends about All Bright Dogs Classes!

If someone new to All Bright Dogs signs up for a class and fills your name and contact information out on their registration form, we'll send you a certificate for $10 off of your next class! There's no limit to how many you can apply to any class - they're as good as cash at All Bright Dogs.

If your friends are getting a new dog, or complaining about their old one, send them our way - everyone wins!

About Us
At All Bright Dogs, our goal is to improve the lives of dogs and the people who care for them.  We do this by meeting dog and handler where they're at, and then bringing them closer together.

We use positive training methods; positive reinforcement (rewards for the correct behavior) and negative punishment (taking away something they want when they do the wrong behavior).  This creates a great learning atmosphere for both dogs and people - and if we're having fun, we'll do more training, right?!

Laurie Albright (our head trainer) is a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers.  She has been training professionally for 10 years.  Laurie is a CKC and CARO Rally Obedience Judge, and enjoys competing with her own dogs in CKC Competitive Obedience, Rally Obedience, Agility, Conformation and has started getting into Herding with her Australian Shepherds, Andi and Shea.
